Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She received the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She can speak fluent French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother played the violin as did her father, who is a the theater professor at one of the most famous drama schools in Romania. The Youth Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. She played a Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's documentary 4 luni3 Two days, 4 months (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) in which she was honored with the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, she was a part in Francis Ford Coppola's film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar in the BBC five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in an episode of the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. In the feature film Fury (2014), she appeared as Irma the German woman who served as Emma's aunt.
